ya i got a really hard bang to my forhead about 9 years ago im 22 now an theres a lump still there and it feels like htere is a crack running up the middle too!!!

I wear ponytails a lot, and in my experience, the most common causes are that I have a fever or I have pulled my hair too tight. Another cause is that I have leaned my head against a chair or something that pushes the ponytail against my head , or it has gradually pulled on my ponytail hair. If you drive or sit in a chair with a tall back where your head leans up against the back of the chair, try to put your ponytail in a place where it won`t press agains the chair and your head or neck at the same time (blunt pressure on the back of your neck can also cause parts of all of your head to hurt). If your hair is long enough, try wearing your ponytail holder lower on your ponytail, but make sure it doesn`t get smashed between the chair and your neck because that will hurt after too much of that. Or try pigtails placed where your head doesn`t lean against anything. Near the ears is good because you`re used to not wanting to smash your ears, so you won`t smash your pigtails against anything. (And there are some perfectly respectable adult pigtail styles out there, so don`t worry about catching the wrong eyes!) I hope that`s helpful.

Its because your hair/skin on head is being pulled all day by the elastic holding your hair together. So it becomes tender. After an hour or so your head should feel back to normal.

I have the exact same problem.. Except this thing happened to me when I was 14. I am 21 now and it has stopped growing. Did you go to the doctor? Can you tell me what they said? Thanks.

Dependent edema, or lower extremity edema(swelling) can be a result of sitting for long periods. Increased intake of sodium. Poor circulation. If socks are too tight, it makes it dificult for blood to flow back up from your feet.

You may of had it abit but Only discovered it. If for se reason you are concerned about it, you need to visit your local GP to get it checked over.
