If you already have a policy with Allstate, you should be able to look at your policy to find out which breeds will not be covered. You can also sometimes look on their home website. You can also check with an agent. If you have a policy currently and are thinking about purchasing a pet which you obviously are wondering about, I would definetly get a list in writing of uninsurable breeds. Anyone give incorrect information verbally. Cover yourself.

i am buying a 2005 honda civic that was in an accident 2 years ago and the owner fixed it right after and it's been running fine ever since. i took it to a mechanic and everything was in great condition and the exterior is immaculate. can the car be insured by allstate, because that is my insurance company.

Well they always insure for liability. That is money it will pay out to someone else if you hit them. They should also insure for personal injury to yourself. They may not insure for the full value of what the car would be if it has a salvaged title though. Even if it is fixed to mint condition it is always considered a salvaged car.

I assume that they send a form letter by mail telling your old insurance company to cancel your policy there. I do not think that they really call on the telephone and have an emotional conversation.

i was offered a job with allstate as a licensed call center rep and was wondering what allstate looks for in their background checks. do they do credit checks? i have no criminal or drug issues but i do have credit issues. any helpful advice is appreciated.

Since you dont have criminal records or drug issue then you are likely to get hired. They would check to see if you ever declared bankruptcy. Normally someone who declares bankruptcy has really bad credit. If you have bad credit and you never declared bankruptcy, you should have no problem and it is nothing to worry about. i recently applied for the catastrophe claim trainee position through the allstate web page, and i was wondering how long it usually took them to reply back about an interview or what not...hope someone can help me out! (i did receive the automated reply email saying they got it.)

With a bigger company, it can take up to three weeks! Be patient, try calling or finding an email to Human Resources to just double check that they did recieve it.

I've never used them but my parents have had a bad run in with them.. They were in an accident which was in no way their fault. Allstate covered the responsible party of the accident. Allstate refuses to pay ALL claims, regardless of fault, unless you take them to court (or is the case at least with Allstate in AR). Upon further investigation, my parents learned this has happened with others they know. So even though the state trooper said it was the other drivers fault, and witnesses say it was the other drivers fault, my parents have to spend $$$ for a lawyer to take Allstate to court to collect what they should rightfully pay. And Allstate has tied it up for almost 2 years. They aren't trying to get mega amounts of $$$ either, just to get reimbursement for the truck that was totaled and for my step-dad's emergency room visit and the air-ambulance transfers. So my advice is, don't use them. If they treat people like this, I don't think they are a good company to do business with.
