Xavier | Q. How do i know if my car is insured?
In order to check out if the car is insured or not, check it out with the deprtment of motor vehicles popular in public as DMV of your state and ask them giving the details about your car, if the car is insured or not . Other option can be to directly ask the insurance company, if the issue is linked with expiry of license.

Mayme | Q. What to do when your car is hit by another insured car?
First of all when your car is being hit by any other car, call the police. Second thing is to call your insurance agency and inform them about your car being hit by the other car. Calling police and making them a report will help later when you need to provide proof to your insurance company that the accident was not because of your fault. bill Perry

Angeline | Q. Is my car insured?
In order to find out wether a car is insured , one will have to check a lot of factors. firstly when and how was the car bought. If the car was bought as new , it must be insured for a specific duration.Check the time that has passed since the car was bought and the time it was insured for. Jack Sullivan

 Q. How can i get my son insured? i got on medicaid after my son was born in october, and for some reason they dropped my son off of it, but not me. how can i get them to put him back on?
yes i have asked them and they said that he was on it, but his pediatrician said that when they call and ask and that he is not insured, so i don't know who to believe.
i did apply for my son he was insured until like january when they dropped him for no reason.
A baby is covered automatically under the mother for 3 months under Medicaid. It is kind of useless to call medicaid offices as they have so many cases and are under-staffed (not a real excuse I know). Make an appointment with your worker, gather all your information, birth certificate, past medicaid cards, any letters received and documentation of your calls to Medicaid.
After you have your appointment fixed, call the Medicaid office and ask the clerk answering the phone, to check on your baby's coverage. If he/she tells you he is not active, ask them when the last time he was eligible. Armed with that information, and your documents you are ready to see your worker and get your baby back on Medicaid and active again.

 Q. Does my son have to be insured in my vehicle? i was just wondering if my son has to be insured under my car. i live in ontario but is it against the law to not have my son insured and just have me and my wife insured under my car.
ex. i borrow my mothers car and i get in a car accident, i get into a accident. my mother would have to pay the fines and what not because she is the one insured. cant i just pay her the money for the fine??
or
will i get into trouble because the car isnt insured under my name.
so once again..can my son drive mine and my wifes car under our insurance.. if he gets into an accident he pays us for the fines and what not. instead of us paying an extra $4000 for insurance for him cant he just drive the car thats insured under our name and he pays us if there is trouble..
please help me out
Your son's name legally needs to be listed on the liability policy if he's going to drive your car. I've heard of one or two insurance companies that automatically cover anybody who you allow to drive your car, but this is not general practice.

 Q. Why is my son insured for a vehicle he does not drive.? we have put our son on my van insurance policy, he only drives my van
my husband owns a truck, the insurance agent says that our son has to go under the truck insurance as it is the more expensive vehicle.
he does not drive the truck. can they do this? he was on the van before now they say it was a mistake to put him on the van. i don't understand it seems to me that he should be insured under the vehicle that he drives. we have been with the company for 30 years they told us if we take him off the truck and only put him on the van then they will remove my husbands 1 free accident forgiveness, if we buy life insurance from them then they will add it back in. what does one have to do with the other.
the difference from keeping him on the van rather then putting him on the truck is an extra $1000.00 a year.
we are looking at other companies and so far they have all asked us what vehicle he will be driving.
i think we are going to take our home, boat, condo, and auto insurance to another company.
Insurance companies can do whatever they want. But in your case they all do this and the cost will be the same. My child was insured on all the cars automatically by putting them on my policy (or one car) even if they never drove the car.

 Q. I have arbella car insurance and i was wondering if my son is insured under me and my husbands cars for the...? for the first 60 or 90 days from the day he gets his license. my friend said that was true for her insurance company. any help would be great. thanks
You need to call your insurance agent or company and let them know your son is now licensed and will be driving your vehicles. He will then be listed as a driver. The rates go up immediately. Males cost more then females in the teen years too. Be prepared to see a drastic increase.

 Q. My son lives in germany. his car is insured with german insurance company. how can i tax ? my son is with the british army and bought a vr6 car which has a year's mot. because he is based in germany with the army it's cheaper to insure through the army contacts (about £1,500 cheaper !!) and he has full insurance. however, we are finding it impossible to tax the car for when he comes home in august, because the insurance is in germany and not the uk. i know the answer is to register the car in germany (which we will do) but we don't have time before he comes home. we only want to buy a legitimate tax disc so that he does not get stopped every five mins by the police. if we had known, the dealer we bought it from said he would have taxed the car for us, but he is now away for the next month !
help - any ideas. we don't want to do anything "dodgy" just legally tax the car for my son !!
IF CAR HAS GERMAN PLATES HE CAN DRIVE IN UK FOR 6 MONTHS WITHOUT UK TAX

 Q. My son and his wife were hit by a car driven by an insured driver. but the car owner is uninsured.? state farm is the insurer for the driver, but they won't make a decsion about paying. the police report clearly states that the other driver was at fault. (he ran a red light and broad sided their car) it has been 8 days since the accident. my kids have made only 1 pmt on a brand new car. i would like to know what their rights are to get the claim moving.
First, the insurance is on the car, not the driver.
Second, I hope you have "uninsured motorists" coverage on your brand new car.
Third, collision will cover the damage to the car and then the insurance company can go and sue the owner and the driver of the car that caused the wreck. Your insurance company should cover the damage (less deductible) and you should sue for the deductible, and then like I said, if the Insurance company wants, they can sue for the balance they paid.
