To reset your hp 920 printer after refilling the ink cartridges, give print command to your hp 920 printer . The printer will give empty cartridge message, then cancel printing. cartridge will be reset. Bill Perry

Q. I got a problem with my computer?
alright so, here's the deal: my computer is running a lot slower than it normal, and it is not running games as fast as it used to. i'm also having to reset the bios every time i boot it up because it says that the cmos must reset to default. it also recommends i change stuff in the setup options. i built this computer from a stock hp that i upgraded. my rig: intel i7-920 processor (stock heatsink) 6gb ddr3 ram (patriot 7-7-7-21 @ 1066) evga x58 sli x3 motherboard xfx 8800gt alpha dog gpu 500gb seagate hard-drive (not sure rpms) 550w rocketfish psu it's been degrading in performance for a little while now, and i don't really understand why. i've run norton 360 on my computer to check for viruses, and nothing came up. is it something to do with my hardware, or is it part of the settings and voltages? if nothing else, post a forum or something i can go to so i can get some help regarding this problem. i don't really want to sink money into someone else fixing my computer if i can do it by myself. i'm going to recover to out-of-box default, but i've done that before when it got like this and i'm not sure if it will do the trick.


there could be multiple reasons for the degraded performance: 1) Is your comp clean? get some air duster cans and completely clean out the comp from inside. the dust can build up and cause the CPU to overheat and slow performance. 2) do you keep your hard drive defragmented? if not you should run the defragment tool. this will help in performance also. this is probably the culprit if reformatting the hard drive to factory default fixes the problem 3) if defragmenting or reformatting doesnt help then there's a possibility your hard drive could be getting and/or dying 4) there's also a possibility your RAM could be dying, but try the other suggestions before you try to change the ram or hard drive
