Q. How to start an used car business?

"In order to start a used car business..."

In order to start a used car business , the first step for you is to go to DMV i.e. the department of the motor vehicles of your particular state for the license to start the business of used cars . Other legal formalities required for the establishment of the business of used cars can be known from there itself .

Q. What business to start?

"Start a car garage business specially if you have an inclination for used cars..."

Looking to start a business? There are many possible business to start, depending on how much you can spend as capital. Before starting with your business, it`s important to do a feasibility study, or to ask someone to do it for you. With this study, you can determine what the business is to start, including the place and needs of people. You can, say, start a car garage business specially if you have an inclination for used cars. /john ice

Q. Radio codes... where can i purchase software or guide or list to generate codes for radios.?
i am trying to start a small business unlocking radio codes as well as cell phone codes. i buy cars at police auctions and i am tired of paying so much money for such easy services... i would like to start my own and charge a way much more reasonable price... thanks so much... alex, nyc

I bought most of my serial number unlocking software from ebay uk - pretty cheap to buy. The point to make you aware of, is that these serial number unlocking softwares are limited in the number of radios that can be decoded. Examples being older Blaupunkt units through the BP serial number. The only software that will handle more recent Ford radios is the Ford decoder through the M serial number. If you are going to set up professionally you will more likely need to buy radio decoding hardware. This is were you use probes that can read the code from the security eprom chip. Here in the UK this equipment costs the equivalent of say $6000. So I hope you will now appreciate why independant radio decoders need to charge between £15 and £20 ($30)to decode a radio. Not only to cover the inital out lay of equipment but the time involved in stripping the unit - removing CD decks etc in order to access the security eprom chip. However, the radio decoding hardware / software required can usually be rented also. I'm unable to recommend any system available in the US. Pay attention to the level of support offered because updates are required regularly to keep up to date with manufacturers. hope this information helps

Q. If these illegals knew that every police officer would arrest them for being here illegally would they stay?
if these illegals knew that every police officer would arrest them for being here illegally they would start staying in their own countries. in my opinion, the problem with "illegal" aliens, people who are here in this country in direct disobedience of our laws, is that their law breaking doesn't stop, and yet they think they are better than u.s. citizens and should not be prosecuted for their law breaking. case in point: the "illegal aliens" falsify tax documents, and other government paperwork. if i do that, the irs fines me, charges me exhorbitant interest and fee's and will throw me in jail. they seize houses, business's and other assets to satisfy tax judgements against u.s. citizens. the illegal aliens get a pass on this. i falsify a drivers license, fail to provide insurance, or drive unlicensed, and i find myself in jail, being fined, and in some cases, having my vehicle impounded and even sold at sherrifs auction. the illegal aliens get a pass on this as well. i find myself in court, facing federal, state and/or local charges of disobeying the law, i have to pay an attorney $200-$300 per hour. the illegal aliens get a pass on this as well, unless of course the aclu gets their paws in the middle of it. and by the way, while i'm blasting the aclu, keep in mind that they managed to wangle a law that requires the federal government to pay all of their legal fee's for the lawsuits they file. in other words, they're using our own money against us in order to undermine american civil liberties by promoting illegal alien civil liberties. and that ladies and gentlemen, is wrong. the entire way we deal with illegal aliens is wrong.

Tell this to your local politician, they are the ones that create the laws. What do you expect people here to do? Rant and rave while politicians continue to do what is pissing you off so much? Great ranting btw but you need to understand that this is an Answer service, not some pro this or anti that message board. While many people may agree ( or disagree) what possible impact do you think it will make here?

Q. I own a building and the neighboring land owner won’t allow any of my customers or employees park in my parkin
i bought a business building 2 years ago and one of the tenants wanted to co-purchase the building with me, but i decided to purchase it by myself to avoid problems down the road. well when i purchased the building the tenant started to cause problems for me. he started by saying he wanted to expand his space so i made arrangements for him to expand, and when it came time for him to expand he decided to renege on the whole deal. it upset me but i was forgiving. then it came time for him to renew his lease and he refused to sign a new lease (but he continued to make his monthly payments) and eventually moved out. the final straw and what i need help with is about a year ago the city had a bunch of odd shaped sections of land that they were selling off in silent auctions, and a 20ft. strip of property that separates my building’s parking lot from the only entrance to the parking lot was one of the pieces of land for sale, long story short i put in a bid and unknown to me so did my now ex-tenant and he won. now he is punishing me by not allowing any of my employees or tenants or any of our customers drive over his piece of land to park on my parking lot and if any one does he calls the police and threatens me that he will sue. it is so bad that i used to have a dumpster in my parking lot and he wouldn’t allow the garbage truck drivers pass over his lot to retrieve the trash, so i was forced to get 10 garbage cans so that i can drag them around his property line to the ally for garbage retrieval. what can i do? because of him not allowing people cross his land to park in my parking lot no one will lease any space in my building. how can i win? he says that he will sell the piece of property to me for 3 times as much as he paid for it, and he paid 2 times too much for it to begin with.

Is there access to you property from any other place than over this one strip or are you "landlocked" with this strip being the ONLY way to gain access? If you are landlocked except for access over this one parcel, he can NOT legally preclude access. He is required by law to provide an easement. Consult a real estate attorney. I'll bet there IS an existing easement. To find out if there IS an easement, go down to the hall of records, the county clerk or wherever they file property deeds and look at the property description for your and his parcels. Do not simply take his word for anything about the property. Go directly to the source. If there IS an easement, it will be listed in the descriptive paragraph. Make a copy and wave it in his face as you do a victory dance while crossing over his property while ignoring any threats he might make. If there is NO easement and you are in fact landlocked, that is where the attorney comes in, to take action to force him to yield the right of way by granting the easement, which then gets entered into the property records. Your problem is, if you are NOT landlocked with this one parcel the only access, you are out of luck. If you have several access points available, you only can force one to yield. If there is ANY other access, no matter where it is, you can NOT force this particular guy to do anything and he is completely within his rights to refuse to allow people on his property.

Q. Have i been scammed on ebay?
i want to ask about two different situations, so if you answer, please give me two answers in one post, relating to both situations: 1) i had an ipod nano 3rd generation up for auction two weeks ago. it had a starting bid of £10, and a "buy it now" option for £220. the £220 covers postage, packaging and because the ipod is pre-loaded with over 20 albums etc. as well as various accessories that equal over £250, but i decided to sell it for a little less and it had a scratch on the silver casing. i had a few bids, and then i received an email from somebody. i have since lost the email due to problems with my email client. the email was from someone going by the name of "frederick roosevelt" and their address was somewhere in america. this person said that they would buy my ipod instantly for £280, which is odd as the buy it now was only £220. but, me being new to ebay, thought i had struck gold and accepted. sure enough, he won the bid (he bid £280, and nobody else matched it) and within a few days, the full £280 ended up in my paypal account. so then, i sent the item off and thought that would be the end of it. 2 days later, i have an email telling me that the £280 was refunded to the recipitent as the item had failed to have been delivered! what?! i sent the item off, but he has told paypal that i took his money and never sent the item. i contacted paypal and said that this was not the case, but they seem to think otherwise. i contacted the guy who had deceived me, but he has not sent me anything back. i keep contacting paypal in the effort that something will happen. they keep telling me over and over again that they are looking into it, but they never get back to me. since then, this guy has closed both his paypal and ebay account and for some reason, his email address no longer exists. how on earth do i get around this? can i file a complaint with the police/law enforcement? will i ever see my ipod again, or at least the £220 i was asking for it?! :( 2) this relates to something i purchased a few weeks ago. in fact, this was the first purchase i made on ebay, and i was new to the whole thing. i saw a laptop on sale for a cheap price. the laptop was a very good model, and the buy it now price was just £125. so, i decided i would purchase this there and then. i made payment via paypal the next day aned the seller emailed me telling me that the item had been sent off and would be with me on 8th september. the 8th september came, and no laptop. i emailed the seller. he said there may have been shipping problems, and said he would contact me with a new estimated delivery date. as i said, i am new to ebay so i did not detect any funny business at this point. a few hours later, he emails me telling me that the new delivery date will be 12th september. 12th september comes, no laptop. i email him telling him that if i do not have it by 17th september, which is tommorow, then i would demand a refund from paypal. he aplogises and says it will definitley be here for 17th. however, i received a package yesterday that i was 100% certain would be the laptop. i opened it, and it was just a concrete slab. no laptop, just a concrete slab in a box. the box it was sent it has the name of the laptop on the front. so, i emailed him asking wtf he was playing it, but have since had no reply. his ebay account has been closed, as has his paypal account. i contacted paypal last night, they said that they would "investigate" and i will be contacted by them in "due course". my question is, how long will it take for them to refund me, and will they require any proof that all i received was a slab of concrete? i would greatly appreciate help from you guys. i shall be very careful when purchasing from ebay in future, as i have already been asked to ship to nigeria which i immediatley knew to be a scam. flarehead - your answer is everything i needed to know, thanks. i will give you best answer when the time comes :)

Yes, obviously both are scams, and well known among regular ebayers. Unfortunately I've spoken to people who have had similar situations to both of yours happen to them before (don't feel bad, at least one of these people was a computer network manager at a school and even with his IT knowledge of online scams didn't see it coming) and they never got their money back. If paypal won't cooperate, there is little you can do. You can try reporting it to the police, but in all honesty, there is little chance of them doing anything.

When you mail anything out on ebay your supposed to request a confirmation signature requirement at delivery, so that you can totally dispute it with that proff when people try to scam and say they never received it. I am new on ebay too, but someone was really nice enough to to email me and fill me in on this sort of Scam!
