 Q. I got a speeding ticket in nj but i have a pa license and geico insurance wat would happen?
"Insurance companies check the records of their insured periodically..."
Law enforcement would send your ticket information to the NJ DMV who would forward it PA because you have a PA license. Your driving record in PA will show the citation from NJ, and Geico will be able to see that. Insurance companies check the records of their insured periodically, so when they find out your rates are almost certainly going to increase.
Sorry!

 Q. Will my insurance go up for a speeding ticket? will my geico insurance go up for my first speeding ticket? i live in texas,
im 20 and just got my first speeding ticket going 61 in a 45. the fine is $200. do i have to go to court? or can i just pay it? does my insurance go up? and if so how much?
It might or it might not, but here's what's important for you to know right now: Definitely go to court. Do not just mail in the fine. The reason is because courts everywhere these days will usually give you a break of some kind if you go to the time and trouble to show up in court. Just declare yourself 'Not Guilty' (they expect that), and say as little as possible. If necessary, you can say, "I don't think I was going that fast."
But DO show up in court.

 Q. Speeding ticket in north carolina 64 / 50 zone. will points transfer to nj new jersey, geico insurance raised? i'm 28 years old, i have a perfect driving record and don't want this to raise my premium or add points to my nj license.
should i bother hiring a north carolina lawyer to go fight for a non-point ticket? btw: the current ticket only shows it being $130 in total fines...

 Q. How much does insurance increase after first speeding ticket? i haven't been sentenced yet, but i'm looking at 6 points (54 in a 30). i am 20 yrs old. i am on my parents insurance. they only have liability. they have clean records. i had a clean record until this ticket. they have geico insurance. i need an experienced person in this field to estimate how much my insurance will raise. i think my dad pays $250 a month on me ( i think not sure ). i drive a honda accord 97 automatic green. again my first speeding ticket. how much more am i looking at for a 6 point speeding ticket. note as soon as i am sentenced next day (literally) i'm taking a defensive driving course . it removes 4 points in ny. so i would have 2 points. so for my geico insurance how much damage am i looking at.
this situation is in albany new york. the insurance was registered on staten island. part of nyc.
"Automatically get a 10% reduction in your insurance..."
Well by taking the defensive driving course in New York you automatically get a 10% reduction in your insurance . So if you are getting the 4 points removed, and still have the 2 points left over, it's likely you will not see much of an increase, if any, by getting the 10% reduction in your insurance. Just make sure to present the certificate of completion to Geico to get your discount.
