Q. What to do if you have bad back pains?

if you are having the pains at your back very badly then first of all go to the doctor and get the proper medicine. doctor will be able to diagnose the right cause of the pain and without consulting the doctor one cannot go to the depth of the problem. so get the xray if doctor recommends and the proper use of medicines for the pain. sometimes the back pain is due to the Back disks and they have to be operated from the specialist doctor. if you are having pain at back then dont run or lifting things as the pain can do more harm to you. For really bad back pains you can take some anaesthetic medicaments. But i suggest you to go directly to your doctor. You can`t joke with you back it is too important. Doctor will tell you what should you take for a bad back but don`t get crazy about medication. For bad back is recommended to sleep in hard bed and so some special exercises. John Doubtson

The best diagnosis of pain in the back can be done by a physiotherapist only. However, if the pain is towards the central portion of the back, then most probably, the pain should be due to some problem in ribs. If the pain is in few muscles only specially while moving, the chances are that the pain is due to some stretching or straining of the muscle.

ive always had really bad period pain just before my period and during (cripling pain) but i also get really bad pains when i ovulate and i bloat big time is this normal?

sounds like ovarian cysts they are benign but hurt like hell i recommend taking naproxin sodium (aleve) that is the only thing that kills the pain.

i went off of the pill 3 months ago after being on it for 12 years and have had regular periods. i just had my period last week and had very bad pains for a few days, so bad i could barely walk. they felt different from regular menstral cramps. is this normal?

Yes that is very possible. You took the pills for so many years, your body will just need a few months to get regular on it's own cycle.

Q. I have really bad swelling & pains in my knees and arm. how can i reduce the swelling?
i get really bad pains in my knees and arm. they hurt so bad that i can barely walk, meaning i had to find a way to walk. i was in the hospital for this twice, and will have to go back if i get what look like chicken pox on my arm and legs when it gets even worse. i really need ways to stop the swelling! will an ibeprophen work?

Ibuprofen is perfect... it's a antiinflammatory which helps inflammation and pain. Just take it with food because it can upset the stomach.... You should take a picture of what looks like chicken pox... it could be that or a rash.... also try using ice to help inflammation in the joints and sometimes a nice soak in the tub can really feel good too... good fortune!

Q. Having really bad pains in my lower back where my kidneys are and vaginal discharge with some bleeding help?
for the past few days i have been having bad lower back cramps near my kidneys and abdominal pains, i thought it was because of my mild case of irritable bowle syndrome (i.b.s.) but it hasn't stopped. i have also had some vaginal discharge and after going to the bathroom today i saw that there was a slight bit of blood.

have you tried drinking some water. you kidneys could be in need of some H2O right about now. sounds like your really dehydrated. i would try drinking a lot of water for the next few days and if that doesn't make it a little bit better call your doctor. I would even call your doctor today to get in a few days out, and if you get better just cancel the appt. if not then go! lol. good luck, hope you feel better.

Q. What could be the cause of these really bad stomach pains?
a few weeks ago i had really bad pains in my womb area and they would wake me up at night. they last a couple of minutes and i got them about 10 times a day. i find them completely unbearable. i've just had a period and now the minute i'm off these pains have returned again. what do you think it could be?

Sounds like appendicitis to me, I'd go ahead and go to the Emergency Room....The longer you wait, the more damage you could be doing to your body. Anytime you have both pain and a fever it's time to visit the ER.
