John.David | Canon mp 250 printer takes only original canon mp250 ink cartridges . If the person will buy the duplicate and cheap ink cartridges for canon mp 250 printer , then it will spoil it and hence the person has to spend the money to buy the new printer

swharry | Canon mp 250 generally does not have a separate ink cartridge . It generally have a black & white cartridge plus a color tank . MP250 is only available in the standard Grey / black finish. It is a good printer and the normal cartridges of black and white, color are accepted.

 Q. I have a canon mp250 all in one will not work? i have a canon all in one that when i turn it on the ink cartridges slam to the right and it gives me an error code p2 and it will do nothing. i've uninstalled it then re-installed but it doesn't help. any idea's
Check if it has a dirty or blurred out encoder strip. If it's dirty, clean it. If it's blurred to the point the encoder lines are erased, then replace that strip if available.

 Q. Is it safe to refill ink cartridges? i have a canon mp250 and am wondering if it would be safe to use one of the ink refilling kits i've seen at the store. of course the manufacturer says not to but the ink cartridges cost almost as much as the printer itself so..... why wouldn't i try it? will it really mess it up or are they just trying to scare me into buying their cartridges? another option is the generic ink cartridges and i thought i might try those first. anyone have any experience with this? if you have this model that would be particularly helpful. thanks
Yes, I do it all the time, and it works really well. I end up spending about $2-5 each time I need a refill, versus paying over $10 for a new ink cartridge. I get my refill kits here http://www.castleink.com/_Ink-Refill-Kits.html in case that helps too.

 Q. Small all-in-one printer with 4 cartridges? i'm looking for an all-in-one printer.
it must be small (like canon mp250 / mp240 / mp 260, for example) and it must run on 4 ink cartridges. other functions are not so important.
thanks.
This is what I consider the best deal right now for a wireless scanner/copier/printer/fax with auto document feeder
Workforce 500 direct from Epson $70 plus free shipping with code FREESHIP5

However, it's bigger than what you're looking for.
The Epson NX100 is slightly bigger than the Canon but it's a steal at $28.

The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should you need it.
You can now get 11 free cartridges every month for Epsons which each hold about double the ink of standard cartridges. This does not involve joining a club or mail-in rebates or committing to any other offer. You just buy the 11 cartridges for $30 and turn in your empties for a credit of the full purchase price. I've done it four times already. Here are the details: http://www.ccs-digital.com/freeink.asp

 Q. Problem with canon mp250 printer? i refilled the black ink cartridge, but it does not work. what can i do?
Replace the black in with a new one. THe cartridges have a smart chip and cannot be easily refilled.

 Q. Which is better hp deskjet f4480 all-in-one printer, or canon pixma mp250 all-in-one printer? same price.? they're same price. which one is it more expensive for ink replacement? i know for hp printer ink cartridge's expire. does canon?
I have had both HP and Canon and I do believe that Canon cartridge's are more expensive. I have a Canon now and it seem that there cartridge's don't last as long as the HP cartridge. Hope this helps.

 Q. Which printer should i use? i have two printers: one is a canon pixma mp250 and the other is a hp di660. i would like to know which would be more cost efficient in the long run? ink cartridges and all?
The HP is going to be more cost efficient. i should note that I am basing this off the fact that you can refill the HP ink cartridges -- this is not yet possible with the Canon cartridges that that printer uses.
