You have to check for several things before you go to an auction as follows... 1... first of all you have to confirm the date of the impounded cars. 2...you have to have the entry fees to enter into the police auctions. 3...you have to give the downpayment which can be the 10% to 20% for the winning bid. so this makes your auction worth and you get the car of your choice.

Try calling the local police stations and asking where and when they are going to be held. ok im thinking about getting a new car. i've been told police auctions you can get some pretty good vehicles at a pretty cheap price. i dont care about the history of the car or what it was used for. but ive heard only car dealers go there and your lucky if you get the crappiest car they have cause the car dealers always outbid independant people who are there for a vehicle is this true?

dealers dont regularly use these auctions. the worst idea about these auctions are that you cant drive the vehicle before you buy it. if you want to spend $500-$1000 on a vehicle its ok but you dont know what you are buying.
