"You have to check for several things before you go to an auction as follows..."

You have to check for several things before you go to an auction as follows... 1... first of all you have to confirm the date of the impounded cars. 2...you have to have the entry fees to enter into the police auctions. 3...you have to give the downpayment which can be the 10% to 20% for the winning bid. so this makes your auction worth and you get the car of your choice.

This answer closely relates to:
  • Orlando police auto auction
    • Is it nice cars at the philly police auto auction?
    • What do i need to get a police auto auction permit in cal?
    • How much do police cars auction for?

Q. How much do cars really sell for at police auctions?
i'm looking to buy an suv in decent shape that's a max of 5 to 6 years old. how much can i reallistically expect to pay for it at auction? and if someone knows a site where i can look up police auctions in the durham nc area, that would be helpful also. i'm looking for a ballpark estimate, not an exact price. also, i'm an over the road trucker driver and don't get home except a few days a month so going to the police station to ask is not really an option.

"Price for vehicles sold at police and government auctions..."

As already stated, there is no "average" price for vehicles sold at police and government auctions. However, prices are usually lower than you would find at dealers or even from individuals because of the higher risk assumed by buyers -- because the cars can't be driven (they can be started). The following article has some more details: http://www.leaseguide.com/Articles/carauctions.htm .

Q. How do i find out the time schedule for police auctions in the state of oregon?
i am trying to find a schedule of dates and times for the police auctions (seized, foreclosed items, etc.) many sites tell me i can pay for this information, but there must be some free public listing since it's through a government agencyt. can anyone help?

"I went to a police auction last friday night..."

I went to a police auction last Friday Night. It was published in the local newspaper. I purchased a confiscated clothes washing machine and an electric clothes drier in nearly new shape for $150.00. Try calling the local police stations and asking where and when they are going to be held. The police want to make money on their confiscated items so they should be willing to tell everybody where they are being held. Good Luck from a Lucky Buyer.

Q. Where can i find police auctions in wayne county?
i'd like to pick up a motorcycle on the cheap. i know there are auctions that police do, but i'm not sure how to find out when or where they are. i'm in the wayne county area of michigan, so anything around metro-detroit would be ideal. any suggestions?

Your question has a very easy answer my friend. Peep this site - www.governmentauctions.org - I just moved to the south and had no car - so i joined them - found a car i liked and boom! seized cars are usually in fine shape too.

Q. Ive heard pros and cons of police auctions can anyone give me some reliable advice?
ok im thinking about getting a new car. i've been told police auctions you can get some pretty good vehicles at a pretty cheap price. i dont care about the history of the car or what it was used for. but ive heard only car dealers go there and your lucky if you get the crappiest car they have cause the car dealers always outbid independant people who are there for a vehicle is this true?

dealers dont regularly use these auctions. the worst idea about these auctions are that you cant drive the vehicle before you buy it. if you want to spend $500-$1000 on a vehicle its ok but you dont know what you are buying.
