What does it mean when my left breast sharp pain? My girlfriend asked me this yesterday but I didn`t have a clue.

if your left breast has sharp pain and you are over 50 years old then you must go for checkup because it can be due to the heart problem. do you ecg for letting you know that your heart is working fine or there is some problem. After 50 one is specially on bonus and a pain in the chest should never be ignored. it can be too late if you continuously ignore the pain. Jason Gagnon

Yes it could be your period pain so thats normal

well im no expert, but i went to the doctors because i was having pains like that and i ended up having a cyst. its really painful, they gave me medicine that would make it go away. It worked for a while but it comes back every now and then. I'm not saying that you have a cyst but pains in that area should be looked at by a doctor, even if it is nothing. let me know if you find out what it is.

i'm a 17 year old guy and upon breathing in, i get this sharp pain above my left breast, basically where the heart is. i haven't gone to the doctor yet, because i want to rule out heart trouble since i'm only 17. any idea what could cause this?

its probably gas...try laying on your side in the bed or on the hard floor ( usally works better on floor)for a while and sometimes you will burp or fart...it sounds gross but its true.

It can still be gas even that high up. You should speak with your doctor on the off chance it could be heart related chest pain.

Try a self-examination to see if there is somthing unusual like a lump.to be on the safer side,go in for a mammogram,better is an MRI.better get it checked as soon as possible. Take care.
