Q. Speeding ticket...? what is in the mixed drink called a speeding ticket?
i thought it was clear but obviously not. it is called a speeding ticket, it is a mixed bar drink. it is of the reddish color and fruity flavoring.
1/2 oz. vodka, 1/2 oz. grenadine, 1/2 oz. coconut rum, 1/2 oz. triple sec, 1/2 oz. tequila, some people have it frozen with pina colada mix and plain rum.

Q. Speeding ticket???? a few weeks ago a recieved a speeding ticket for going 51 in a 35. this is my first offense/ticket and i have been driving for a number of years already. i sent in the ticket and plead not guilty. (while i know i was speeding i thought the speedlimit was 45 because it was a road that turned from a highway into a village road).
what is the worst that can happen going 16 miles over the speed limit? and when should i expect to hear back from the town about my new court date?
i live in the state of new york.
"The worst thing is that your insurance company will raise your rates for..."
The worst thing is that your insurance company will raise your rates for 5 years and the state will give you a fine. Other than that.. nothing will happen to you.

Q. Speeding ticket????????????? do anyone know how much a speeding ticket in georgia is (clayton county) doing 88 mph in a 55.. thanks in advance.....

If you read your ticket, the officer has noted and checked all the boxes that pertain to your violation. It also shows if you can pay the ticket outright or if it requires a court appearance. The court involved is also noted. Go to their website and check for the type of violation. It should contain fines, court costs, etc. Also, even if you're speeding remember law enforcement people ARE human. You can ask them questions (politely). They are on the streets for our safety.

Q. How do i contest a speeding ticket in court? i got a speeding ticket today, which is really depressing because generally i try really hard not to speed. i want to contest it in court, and i read that the first step is to request the officer's presence. how do i do this? i also read that the best way to get your ticket dismissed is to request documents of proof from the officer, because most likely he will not have them. what documents are these? any other tips to contest a speeding ticket? thanks!!!
"How frequently does the officer engage in speeding citations (if this is routine for him..."
You should demand a jury trial and file a Motion for Discovery with the Clerk of Court ... the prosecution will probably not comply, and you will have to demand a court hearing and convince the judge, as for: 1) the officer's logs (audio, video, and written), 2) copies of the citation (front and back), 3) the names of any witnesses (ie: who is the police officer), 4) all information relating to the officer's training, who trained him, when, 5) all information relating to maintenance logs of the radar device, 6) the serial numbers of any tuning forks used, and when the device was tuned, 7) how frequently does the officer engage in speeding citations (if this is routine for him, you can argue at court that he probably doesn't follow all the boring rules, such as properly tuning his device and making an estimate of your speed before letting the error-prone machine make its decision), 8) you have a right to demand that the DOT provide you with engineering assessments of the road's safe speeds, 9) if the speed limit is particularly low, you have a right to demand a reason why (they probably won't tell you, but demand it anyways and then tell the jury that they wouldn't tell you a reason), 10) you should demand a copy of the manual for the radar-gun, if they let you look at it demand it be brought to court or photocopy it (find relevant details and quiz the cop to show his ignorance, also make sure the jury realizies how big and complicated it is, thus showing how likely an error is -- if they don't let you see the manual, tell the jury how secretive they are and how they are obviously trying to hide the facts... and get a manual and bring it), 11) demand to know where the cop was when he radared you, and then go to that spot and try to find reasons why his radar might have made a mistake (maybe there was metal interference, maybe there was no realistic way for him to see you long enough to get a radar lock, maybe there were other cars in the way), 12) demand a copy of any department regulations regarding speeding citations (if there are any, find some way to argue that he didn't comply; if there aren't any, tell the jury how disorganized this whole process is), 13) ask the prosecution to tell you whether this was a speed trap (they will probably say of course not, but find out if it really is, and if it is tell the jury what a bunch of liars they are -- try to find witnesses who will testify for you that they too were caught in that ridiculous speed trap), 14) demand any and every possible written object you can find that might be at all relevant, it doesn't matter if your every request gets approved, the point is to swamp them with demands and irritate the prosecution while being polite and well-mannered while talking to the judge, act innocent and constantly say, "Your honor, I'm no lawyer so Im really not sure of my rights; all I know is that I wasn't speeding and the police are clearly abusing their power. I have a right to make a defense, and the constitutional right to due process gives me the right to demand any and all tangible items in the possession of the prosecution which may have bearing on the case, so that I might prepare a proper defense."
In addition, in some jurisdictions there are NO additional costs for a trial, or even a jury trial -- furthermore, in some states (such as Texas), you have a clear right to argue that even if you were speeding, its still legal as long as you were driving safely. Meanwhile, in other states, you can still use an argument like that, because the jury knows full well that the cops are a bunch of obsessive-compulsive control-freak morons. Quite simply, you should fight every ticket, until the cops realize the public hates them. In addition, join the National Motorist Association, for $35 a year you get not only lots of information on how to fight your ticket, but in the future if you get one and fight it, they'll pay for the ticket even if you lose! http://www.motorists.org/

Q. Speeding ticket in ontario, how much will an increase be on my insurance per vehicle? i have just gotten a speeding ticket in on my ontario driver's license. can anyone tell me a rough figure as for how much as an average i could be paying on extra insurance for my vehicle when it gets updated? and how long will these penalty premiums be in effect? thank you.
"So there is a chance you will not see an increase..."
They company I work for will only run the MVR once. So there is a chance you will not see an increase. We do state in the policy that we can run the MVR at any time but the only time I have ever seen them run it again is if you have multi accident's or your account gets red flagged or if it lapses and you try to reinstate the policy. Ever company will have different procedures so I cant promise it wont go up but if they do run the MVR then you can expect a 10%-30%increase.
Good Luck!

Q. How much will a ny speeding ticket be for going 85mph in a 65mph zone? i got a speeding ticket the other day in bedford, ny going 85mph in a 65mph zone on 684. the ticket does not list the fine. does anybody have an idea of how much the fine would be? has anybody taken there ny speeding ticket to court? was it work the time?
"This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from..."
Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck!

Q. Can i argue a speeding ticket in court due to an incorrect year of violation? i received a speeding ticket and the officer wrote down the wrong date completely (day/month and year!). i plead not guilty because i was not present in the county on that date, in that year the ticket states. i understand officers can make minor mistakes on tickets, but it was june 2007 and he wrote it for 2006. i now have a court date set for next month. what sort of argument or style should i use with a mississippi judge to argue this? any tips will help!

You received a citation for a traffic violation. The error on the date can be amended.

Q. Is a speeding ticket from one state enforcable in a different state? lets say someone got a speeding ticket in washington, and decided not to pay because they live in idaho; would that be against them in idaho, or only if they went back to washington?
in other words, if the ticket is not payed, and the person never goes back to washington (or doesn't drive if they do) are there any consequences to that person in their own home state?
what are the advantages and dissadvantages of not paying a speeding ticket from another state?
"If you don't pay a ticket in washington..."
Most states have statutes or agency rules that say that they will give a penalty to someone who is convicted of a speeding violation, for example, in another state, as if it had happened in the state in which the person lives.
Idaho, for example, will recognize a conviction from any other state, AND Canada (link below).
So, if you don't pay a ticket in Washington, the court in Washington will convict you of speeding. That record will be sent to the Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles, where they will then enter the conviction on their records and take the appropriate steps from there. Your Idaho license could be suspended, and you will still be on the hook in Washington for any unpaid fees and fines resulting from your conviction for failure to appear.
