RIght beneath where it says canon, between the scanner bed and the paper output tray, you can just lift the entire scanner bed up. I had to have the printer powered on when I lifted the scanner bed to get the print head holder to slide to the installation position. There are tabs on the ink tanks, which need to be gently pushed forward so the ink tanks can just pop out.

From Epson website: No. The printer will not operate if any cartridge is expended or removed. It`s best to always have extra cartridges on hand. The printer will display a warning when ink is low. For printers without an LCD panel, when the red/amber Ink light starts to flash, the original amount of ink remaining in the indicated cartridge is low. For printers with an LCD screen, the appropriate warning message or warning picture is displayed to indicate that ink is low. This is a good time to get a replacement cartridge ready for when the cartridge is expended. When the a solid red/amber Ink light is displayed, the indicated cartridge is expended. For printers with an LCD screen, the appropriate error message or icon is displayed to indicate that an ink cartridge is expended. In this instance, you will need to obtain a replacement cartridge. Note: You will not be able to obtain black ink only printing if a colour cartridge is expended, even if other cartridges still contain ink. The printer requires both the black and the colour cartridges to be installed, and with a certain amount of ink in each cartridge to function. Before printing, replace the expended cartridge.

For resetting an MP560 chip reset after refilling the printer ink cartridge with the help of a syringe , place the cartridge back at its position, give print command,you will getting an empty cartridge message.Press the cancel button till it gives the "processing" popup. Jack Sullivan

Use the manual that came with your printer, or download a copy from the Canon printers website. The basic idea is pretty simple, but you have to catch the move until you`ll feel comfortable changing it with ease. You just need to open the printer`s cover, wait for the cartridge cradle to stop, unplug , slowly pull out cartridges, remove the protective tape from new ones and then replace them gently until the new cartridge clicks. In order to reset canon printer error p 07 . check out the manual of your canon printer to find out the cause of this error p 07 and fix it accordingly . Else make a call at the customer care of canon to get their help and advice .

I also have the Canon mp560 printer, which takes the 220 and 221 ink cartridges. Okay, so first of all...I tried the reset method mentioned above with a few changes after getting my printer cartridges filled by syringe at a small retail store...and IT WORKED! However, the store clerk informed that the ink levels read by my computer will NOT reset when the refilled cartridges are reinstalled. Anyway, 1st: Turn on your printer and reinstall the ink cartridges. 2nd: Turn on your computer and bring something up to print. 3rd: Press print on the computer, and once your printer says "processing" press the stop/cancel button AND HOLD IT DOWN for 10 seconds. 4th: The printer will cancel that initial printing job and spit the paper out, but don`t fret just yet! 5th: Go back on your computer and attempt to print the document a second time. This time, your computer will tell you are running low on ink, but it will continue automatically and print your chose document job successfully! I hope these more detailed instructions will help people out there...good luck!

Someone said: It worked like a charm (I have an MP560, refilled black and cyan cartridges). I only had to push the Stop button for a few seconds, it reprocessed and then just printed a document. Scanning worked now again, too. Excellent advice. Thank you. AD
