 Q. Niagara falls? we are thinking about going to niagara falls for our honeymoon. we are just wondering about anyones past experiences here? any tips on things to do or go? or what to watch out for?
i plan to go the first of august. is this a good time to go?
"Not sure if you're asking about niagara falls..."
Not sure if you're asking about Niagara Falls, NY or Niagara Falls, Ontartio? Niagara Falls, Ontario is a great place to visit (so is Nfls, NY but less to do). There's so much to do on the Canadian side and I must say that it's prettier (and I'm from the U.S). I would think that August would be a good month because it's the busy season with more to do. You also need to take a carriage ride along the Falls area, it's beautiful.
Also, you need to check into the "Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel and Spa". I think it's the best place to be when visiting Niagara Falls. They offer wonderful honeymoon packages too. Get one with spa treatments included, very relaxing.

There are tons of things to do depending on your tastes. I think that no trip to Niagara Falls is complete without a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake which is an adorable community about a half our drive (along River Road) from the Falls. You will be able to visit cute shops and/or many wineries.
If you like golfing, there are quite a few courses in Niagara Falls and nearby.
So that I don't write a book here, I am including a few websites for things to do. Additionally, there's a lot of transportation options in Niagara Falls.

 Q. Niagara falls? i need information on black slavery in niagara falls. like how niagara falls helped change freedom for a lot of black people.
plzz and thank you
"Boated across the river upstream from the falls onto canadian soil, this was just a..."
Niagara Falls was one of the entry points of the underground railroad,African Americans fleeing slavery in the states would be boated across the river upstream from the falls onto Canadian soil, this was just a stop-over as it was to close to the border to be really free.
There were Canadians here that would turn in the blacks to slave hunters for a fee so they were moved either further north or east from there .
African Americans were free people in Canada but they still had many hardships, they could only find menial work and lived in bad housing. But at least no one owned them.
Hope this helps you a bit.

 Q. How to get cheap shuttle from toronto to niagara falls without casino member card? how to get cheap shuttle from toronto to niagara falls without casino member card?
there's a tour company offering rides from toronto->niagara falls for $25 if you don't have a casino membership card, $0 if you do. problem is, to get the free membership card, you have to be at the casino. so how do i first get there to get the membership card to get the discount for getting there?
is there another tour company that offers very low cost or free shuttle service from toronto to niagara falls?
"Then buy a ticket for the falls shuttle ($6..."
Not much cheaper, but on weekends and holidays you can take the GO train for $15.90 each way, then buy a ticket for the Falls Shuttle ($6). Go to the Players Advantage Club booth at Fallsview Casino and show them your Falls Shuttle ticket and GO train ticket to get the $6 back. You can pick up a membership card while you're there.

 Q. Going to niagara falls, any recommendations for neat, unique activities around there? besides just seeing niagara falls, what are some awesome things to do within 100 miles of the falls? we're going in a couple of weeks and do plan on going into canada. wanting some memorable experiences to take away from it. besides that, anyone have any tips or advice in general?
"Within 5 miles or so of the falls about 15 miles away there is..."
okay my wife and i went there last year for our honeymoon.
defintiltly do the maid of the mist
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc278/blazer8487/IMG_1455.jpg
the cave of the winds
check out ripleys believe it or not
guiness book of world records
on lundys lane in canada there are lots of little fun things to do
eat at hardrock cafe.
spend a whole day at marine land (aquarium/theme park)
the previous things are all within 5 miles or so of the falls about 15 miles away there is a thing call the niagra falls whirlpool jet boat tours, its $30-$50 dollars a person but well worth it. also there is fort niagra.
also if your looking to "rough it" alittle bit, try staying in a cabin at the KOA on lundys lane (think that was the street) its actually really nice, has an out door and indoor swimming pool and for being in a tourist area is actually pretty secluded.
if you need any more info or would like to see some pictures drop me an email

 Q. How can i go to niagara falls without entering canada ? my friends and i planned a trip to niagara falls this week end. so, i searched the location in the google maps[from the location 630 merrick street, detroit, mi 48202]. from the traveling directions, one of the direction was given as partially entering canada and after 2-3 directions it was again entering united states. is it necessary for me to get a visa when entering canada here.
is it possible to get traaveling directions without entering canada.
are there any sightseeing places before going to niagara falls.
will the canadian authorities gonna charge if i partially enter and then take exit to us
"Take the exit for niagara falls blvd..."
Since you're driving and not flying, and as long as you this before the end of this year, you each only need a drivers license or DMV ID and birth certificate. You can also use a passport, which you will need starting in January. The view of the falls is much better from the Canadian side, so if you want a good view of the falls, you'll want to enter Canada anyway.
But if you want to drive entirely in the US, take I-75 south to I-90 east. Once you get into New York, take exit 53 for I-190 North. Take the exit for Niagara Falls Blvd. and follow the signs to the business district and falls. This route does add about 150 miles and 2 1/2 hours to your trip though, as opposed to the one that goes through Canada.

what is the closest state park camping site near the fall? is it four mile creek?
"The falls themselves are one thing but niagara has so much more to offer..."

You could spend a month here and not be bored. The falls themselves are one thing but Niagara has SO much more to offer.
-Niagara gorge (hiking)
-Spanish aerocar
-Whilpool jet boat tour on the niagara river
-Niagara on the Lake (beautiful town and wine country - one of the best in the world)
-Bird conservatory
-great wolf lodge indoor waterpark (HUGE)
-nightlife (Dragonfly, rumours)
-Clifton hill (haunted houses, restaurants, indoor mini putt, rainforest cafe etc etc)
-dozens of golf courses
-port dalhousie
there's like a million more things those are just off the top of my head
