    Q. Would your buy a police officer lunch?
once when my dauther and i were in a drive-thru, i looked in my rearview mirror and saw a cop car. when i got to the window, i paid for my order and also for the police officer behind me. as we left, i saw the drive-thru worker pointing us out as we drove away. no words. just a kind gesture for those who lay their lives down for us. they have one of the most thankless jobs in america!!

You know I would have never thought to do that but what a great gesture it was. If I'm ever in the drive thru and see a police car behind me, I'm buying them lunch - because of you.

this entire nightmare began on memorial day weekend in the great state of georgia,im being sarcastic,i hate georgia.in may of 2007 my wife and i decided to visit our 18 year old son,my wife and i live in florida.we visited our son for a few hours than my wife and i decided to shop at walmart while our son cooked us up some dinner.we had a wonderful time at the walmart i bought my lovely wife a dress to wear for dinner that night.we were on our way back to my sons apartment travelling on highway 80 in savannah georgia when i heard a siren behind me,in my rear view mirror i could see blue lights,a police officer was pulling me over.i pulled into a parking lot and shut the engine off.the police officer walked up to my car and asked me for my license and proof of insurance.i told the police officer to just write me the fucking ticket so i could get the fuck out of here.the police officer told me to calm down.i told the officer to go fuck himself, just write me a ticket so i could get the fu

For the last 50 years, yes. They need to have that "protect and serve" spray painted off the cars.

    Q. Problems with america....?
after reading several rants i figured i would start my own. these are the main problems i see with america right now: 1) world police. we seem to feel that we take the moral high ground and have to police the world in pursuit of our own interests. we spend billions of dollars in defense of other countries and diplomacy and where has it gotten us? 2) forced integration. i recently saw a harvard study that said that integration does not work as those that push it suggests. you basically force people together like sheep and expect them to play nice. humans by nature will not like people for their ownl personal reasons and are told that men are created equeally - which is really not true. read darwin. 3) corrupt government. this is a common side effect of a capitalistic government. at the end of the day, every politician is out for himself and is looking to forward his own agenda. so many politicians get caught doing crimes or are investigated and those are only the ones who have suspicion or are caught. i wonder how many politicians do crimes and never get caught...? 4) taxation. since most people are of middle or lower class, the government comes up with the idea to rediculously tax wealthy people disporportionately. wealthy people have rediculous tax rates (55%) and are being punished for being successful. we make laws that should be illegal legal and argue that the wealthy should "pay their fair share". its robbery. 5) horrible legal and judicial system. this is a big one.. first of all, there is so much arrogance from our legislators and judicial system that it speaks volumes when you need to use the "system". it is basically designed for the wealthy and people who can afford to use it. it is not "blind" nor fair or free, as it was designed to be. you can buy your innocense with enough money (oj simpson) and go to jail for rediculous crimes (marijuana). 6) loss of personal freedoms. laws are being created all the time telling people what to do and how to do it. this country was founded on the belief that all men should be free and have the ability to live life as they see fit. im not sure about you but look around at what the will of other people has done to our laws and how it affects you. i am personally against any law that tells people how to live. (ie. seatbelts. i have my own car, pay my own insurance and the government sees fit to make a law requiring me to wear it because it is in my own best interest.) 7) the federal reserve. another biggie.... this should absolutely be abolished and control given back to the government. most people dont know it but the federal reserve is a private company that makes money for the government. i cant explain it all here but lets just say that they perpetually keep us in debt to them and it is one of the largest unregulated and most profitable companies in the world. what do you think?? edit.... tax. i never said our tax system worked properly but was ranting about how the wealthy pay a disporportionate amount of taxt. one way to fix this is to have a flat tax, which has been talked about for years. fundamentals of living should never be taxed while luxuries should be (food, medicine, etc... boats planes definitely). this would really even things out but having someone who makes 5 million a year pay 55% tax is grossly unfair because you have many more people pay zero taxes. edit... justine. its not apathy but rather ignorance. i absolutely agree that we have done this to ourselves but look at where we are now and see how bad things are. this is only getting worse and i do believe this country is going to collapse. hoping things get better will not make them better. edit... justine. its not apathy but rather ignorance. i absolutely agree that we have done this to ourselves but look at where we are now and see how bad things are. this is only getting worse and i do believe this country is going to collapse. hoping things get better will not make them better.

    Q. America, not the land of the free by a long shot?
i am tired of living in america. i used to love this country when i was growing up, so much that i even joined the armed forces to defend it. now i get out of the military in 7 months and i am considering studying at a foreign university. both american presidential candidates frighten me. mccain desperately wants to police the world, which i despise, and obama wants government to regulate every aspect of our lives, which i also despise. america is already far too regulated to the point that it is a bureaucracy. i can't even buy an electric scooter and drive it down the street without getting it registered and going through all the paperwork. while in thailand, elephants walk down the road right next to cars and buses. america is just too boring and i feel like people are sometimes mindless and have never felt what it really means to live. any suggestions for finding a country where freedom and a little excitement still exist? a country without 95,000 immigration laws? and a country where the standard of living is still somewhat high. i have been to thailand, korea, and mexico..but i'd like to live somewhere that i havent been to..just looking for somewhere exciting to live why do some of you seem to get upset with someone criticizing the usa? i have served this country for 6 years i have earned my right to criticize. and yes i am leaving and the door won't hit me in the back. america is boring and is not the only place in the world now go back to watching your sitcom and shut up. anyone who gave me well informed answers about foreign nations to live in, thank you!

Philippines..they love Americans I married a Filipina lady in Tokyo in 1985 and she sure changed my life but you don't have to be married..but most Filipinos speak a working English Austrialia is good and New Zealand too..both speak English (sort of) but they like YAnks (sort of)..and you won't be bored in either place Congratulations as I traveled in Europe and Asia but Asia is cheaper Spain is Cheaper and Spanish is not that hard to pick up it all depends if you have the stones to make a living in these countries Guam is small but is owned by the US and it is like Hawaaii ..but cheap It depends on how far you money can go and if you can adapt to another environment..I have a Home in the Philippines too..but it cost 1500 or more to fly there..so I am retired..with my wife and we go but not until next year..I love the tropical heat and the warm friendly people...yes..it is a big world out there and if you want to be an Ex-pat..the world is your oyster..

    Q. Former us republican treasury assistant calls us police gestapo/criminals. is this true ?
ok first who is this guy ? paul craig roberts [email him] was assistant secretary of the treasury during president reagan’s first term. he was associate editor of the wall street journal. he has held numerous academic appointments, including the william e. simon chair, center for strategic and international studies, georgetown university, and senior research fellow, hoover institution, stanford university. he was awarded the legion of honor by french president francois mitterrand second where am i getting this from ? his blog http://www.vdare.com/roberts/080101_criminals.htm third what did he actually say ? (clips from the article i found interesting - below ) the american police have never prevented crimes. in olden days, the police solved crimes by finding the guilty party. no more. in our time, the police create crimes. and that is why the us prison population is twice the size of china’s, an authoritarian country with a population four to five times larger than america’s. there you have it. the american police—”support your local gestapo”—spend their time engineering false crimes and not investigating real crimes. americans are more at risk from the police than they are from criminals. never make the mistake of calling the police, and never get stopped by a traffic cop. you run the risk that he will drop a bag of drugs into your car and arrest you on a drug offense. if you encounter a police officer, be sure you have thousands of dollars with which to buy him off from making false charges. most police charges are false charges. americans need to wake up to this fact or the american prison population will outstrip the rest of the world combined. ------------------- please read the entire article - i have only pasted and copied a few paragraph's from that article on his blog that entry http://www.vdare.com/roberts/080101_criminals.htm a list of his blog entries http://www.vdare.com/roberts/all_columns.htm what wikipedia has to say about him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/paul_craig_roberts forget about his politics for a moment and put all those partisan issues aside this a rich man - he isn't worried about where his next meal is coming from he was part of the system the government the inner circle whatever you would like to call it - he gains nothing by being critical in a public forum and risks much --- he isn't running for any office(s) he isn't likely to be welcome by republicans or democrats and he is in his late 60's (69) at that age it is likely his career for the most part is over - he has to coast on whatever his previous achievements have gotten him and as i said one of those achievements is wealth - is what this guy telling you true ? what are your reactions to this ? a republican --- a life long republican who was part of regan's government is a liberal academic and that is your "basis" for dismissing him ? wow -that is "special "

I agree with you man. With the national debt and its economy going to the gutter I dont want to stay here too. Many Americans still deny that America will not fail and it is still the best and invincible. But I dont believe that. America is just a country. The Roman empire fell, Nazi German fell, Imperial Japan fell, and so will the US. Every nation has its end, and I believe it is close. I am gonna get out of here before it will collapse.

    Q. Does this mean anything to you?
being poor is knowing exactly how much everything costs. being poor is getting angry at your kids for asking for all the crap they see on tv. being poor is having to keep buying $800 cars because they’re what you can afford, and then having the cars break down on you, because there’s not an $800 car in america that’s worth a damn. being poor is hoping the toothache goes away. being poor is knowing your kid goes to friends’ houses but never has friends over to yours. being poor is going to the restroom before you get in the school lunch line so your friends will be ahead of you and won’t hear you say “i get free lunch” when you get to the cashier. being poor is living next to the freeway. being poor is coming back to the car with your children in the back seat, clutching that box of raisin bran you just bought and trying to think of a way to make the kids understand that the box has to last. being poor is wondering if your well-off sibling is lying when he says he doesn’t mind when you ask for help. being poor is off-brand toys. being poor is a heater in only one room of the house. being poor is knowing you can’t leave $5 on the coffee table when your friends are around. being poor is hoping your kids don’t have a growth spurt. being poor is stealing meat from the store, frying it up before your mom gets home and then telling her she doesn’t have make dinner tonight because you’re not hungry anyway. being poor is goodwill underwear. being poor is not enough space for everyone who lives with you. being poor is feeling the glued soles tear off your supermarket shoes when you run around the playground. being poor is your kid’s school being the one with the 15-year-old textbooks and no air conditioning. being poor is thinking $8 an hour is a really good deal. being poor is relying on people who don’t give a damn about you. being poor is an overnight shift under florescent lights. being poor is finding the letter your mom wrote to your dad, begging him for the child support. being poor is a bathtub you have to empty into the toilet. being poor is stopping the car to take a lamp from a stranger’s trash. being poor is making lunch for your kid when a cockroach skitters over the bread, and you looking over to see if your kid saw. being poor is believing a ged actually makes a goddamned difference. being poor is people angry at you just for walking around in the mall. being poor is not taking the job because you can’t find someone you trust to watch your kids. being poor is the police busting into the apartment right next to yours. being poor is not talking to that girl because she’ll probably just laugh at your clothes. being poor is hoping you’ll be invited for dinner. being poor is a sidewalk with lots of brown glass on it. being poor is people thinking they know something about you by the way you talk. being poor is needing that 35-cent raise. being poor is your kid’s teacher assuming you don’t have any books in your home. being poor is six dollars short on the utility bill and no way to close the gap. being poor is crying when you drop the mac and cheese on the floor. being poor is knowing you work as hard as anyone, anywhere. being poor is people surprised to discover you’re not actually stupid. being poor is people surprised to discover you’re not actually lazy. being poor is a six-hour wait in an emergency room with a sick child asleep on your lap. being poor is never buying anything someone else hasn’t bought first. being poor is picking the 10 cent ramen instead of the 12 cent ramen because that’s two extra packages for every dollar. being poor is having to live with choices you didn’t know you made when you were 14 years old. being poor is getting tired of people wanting you to be grateful. being poor is knowing you’re being judged. being poor is a box of crayons and a $1 coloring book from a community center santa. being poor is checking the coin return slot of every soda machine you go by. being poor is deciding that it’s all right to base a relationship on shelter. being poor is knowing you really shouldn’t spend that buck on a lotto ticket. being poor is hoping the register lady will spot you the dime. being poor is feeling helpless when your child makes the same mistakes you did, and won’t listen to you beg them against doing so. being poor is a cough that doesn’t go away. being poor in. being poor is four years of night classes for an associates of art degree. being poor is a lumpy futon bed. being poor is knowing where the shelter is. being poor is people who have never been poor wondering why you choose to be so. being poor is k being poor is knowing how hard it is to stop being poor. being poor is seeing how few options you have. being poor is running in place. being poor is people wondering why you didn’t leave. kiit- i have a strange feeling that you have been sheltered all of your life and told what to believe. no offense, but you are definitely not in touch with the real world problems that are afflicting so many more americans today, since the great depression.. jules- i agree with you 100% and it is sad that people like kiit that really have no life experience can be taught to be so cold about the living conditions of so many others. i also noticed that if i wanted to contact you or see other questions you have answered, it is available. with kiit, it is blocked and private... that is usually the case for people that talk out of the side of their face, and argue facts without a clue. there really is no arguing with people like her. she will always know more than you or i, and you will always be wrong. it is seriously one of the biggest problems in the 'world' today. i doubt she is more than 15 yrs old, judging by the self-portrait.

...sad thing is, there are more and more people living with some of the situations you described above these days. kiit: Imagine you are a single mother of 3 or single father of 3...work 10 hour days and paycheck to paycheck... just to make ends meet. How would you find the time and energy to attend college?? Your statement does not reflect reality! Not all have those opportunities... Oh, kiit you have no clue... Maybe they were married... went through a divorce, maybe their spouse died. Yeah lets talk reality sometime... seems to me like you need a clue. No, I just happen to have a heart...shame some people in life do not. I do not make excuses for people who do not help themselves...just sometimes its not easy to do on your own. Counting on others sometimes is not a bad thing... except to those who lack caring. You must have come from a stable home with no financial worries ever... I dot think you understand what is like to have 3 kids, a deadbeat father, a job you have to work many hours jsut to makes end meet. If thats the case, good for you... Even though I think you are clueless, I hope you never have to go through any of the things listed in the poem above. I hope no one would ever have to. Go on in your merry little world, one day reality may hit and you will be forced to eat your words. Tamiam : That is because I am willing to back up my opinions... I am not ashamed of my answers or my questions. Clearly, she must be. I have lived life, at times it was hard and yes, I helped myself. But not being able to see that light at the end of the tunnel is a terrible feeling...one I hope no one else would have to feel.

    Q. Why are police officers allowed to wear jewelry?
ugh these 2 dudes make me sick "we're gonna take your car for buying 10 dollars worth of marijuana bro, but it's okay for us to wear diamond studs in our ears while representing the united states of america" on cops i always see the guys that move in for the kill on stings/undercover operations (the ones that wear the kevlar vests that say police) with ears pierced. what the hell? you're supposed to be men of the law, not little fairies. stop wearing jewelry you pansies. i can cut my hair... holes in your ears/tattoos are for life @ andre: have fun making a sub par salary, sorry you weren't smart enough to get a real job

Yay Andre's going to be another crooked cop. Just make sure you slide me some of that cocaine and money along the way. if you didn't sell drugs out of your house then you wouldn't have the problem with the RICO statue, and the feds wouldn't loot all your stuff and sell it to purchase more rounds to kill black people with. Hilarious world we live in huh? And whats wrong with a little bling while your cappin down people holding remotes you mistook for a 357 magnum?
