I`ll recommend PGI-820 & CLI-821 series. Printers using these cartridges are IP3680, IP4680, MP545, MP628, MP638, MP988 & MX568.

i have a canon pixma mp210 inkjet printer and i want to refill the cartridges with a kit that i've purchased , the only problem is i don't know how. i sit here looking at the kit wondering if i can get my money back because i don't know how to use i but i've already opened it. does any one know how to use this kit

"You will need to drill holes in the ink cartridges..."

You should have a refilling manual along with the kit that you have have. Anyway, you will need to drill holes in the ink cartridges, peel off the stickers on top of the cartridge and you will see small round dents which are already sealed (that is where the ink was injected during the manufacture). You will have to drill small holes there and that is where you will inject the inks that you have. To find out which colors go in, you will need a needle. Insert the needle on the holes that you made and then withdraw that needles, at the tip of the middle you will what color that specific hole has. Inject the ink and then wipe the holes and cover them up with the duct tape or the sealant included in your refill kit. Replace the cartridge in the printer and run the cleaning tool. ♥☺♥ Good luck! i just bought a canon mp210, assuming that i could refill them myself... but i just opened the package and it is different than my current printer. it has a cl-31 cartridge, and a pg- 30 cartridge. i was really hoping someone who has one could tell me if i could do it myself, because that is what i currently do with my parent's printer.

find a kaboodle store and call them up and ask them, if there is a way for you to refil them they will know!!!

Try Cartridge World stores. You will eventually have no choice but to buy new. They do have their limits with refilling.

You can buy the Canon multipack, the only trouble with that is that you may not need all 4 colors. Compatibles are an even better way to save money. Go to toneramerica.com. I've been using them for 10+ years and they have never given me any trouble.

hi, one month ago i purchased a canon ip model 2600 printer which takes 1 black cartridge (marked 40) and 1 color cartridge (marked 41). i'm working on an incredibly detailed photo project and i'm working on a tight deadline because this is a commissioned project. well, the first 2 cartridges allowed me to print approximately 150 4x6" pictures. i then bought brand new canon cartridges because i want only the best for this client. after 5 pictures, i got a message that the colored cartridge was running low. i was stunned. i lifted it out, put in my hand and compared it with the former "empty" one - it sure felt just about the same weight. the black cartridge felt much heavier. 2 questions: what might have happened? can these cartridges be re-filled? i've successfully refilled cartridges for years, but all holes seem to be covered. i've printed 2 more photos and they come out a very light pastel. i'm stumped! thank you to the techie who will answer this in a few miliseconds!

The cartridges cannot be refilled...they must be replaced. Reason being that you get a new print head with each new cartridge, which also explains why they are much costlier than just buying/refilling ink cartridges. Learned this from Canon tech support when my prior Canon printer wasn't responding to troubleshooting FAQ's. Had to call them and was told I needed to buy a new printer as the print heads were bad (on the old one) and could not be replaced. They recommended Pixma IP, even had a special discount for loyal Canon customers! How convenient?!

Q. Does the printer canon pixma ip3000 need a chip resetter in order to refill ink cartridges?
or can we refill the ink cartridges without the use of a chip resetter? because i don't see any chip resetters that are sold for this model, i checked ebay and amazon, i see nothing on canon ip3000

I would not recommend trying to refill these on your own. I have seen very mixed results with this. As an alternative, have you considered compatible ink cartridges? I included a link below that goes to an online retailer that sells these.

Look into the hole. The colour you see is the colour you inject. Keep in mind that not all inks are created equal, so if the ink you are refilling with is a universal fill kit - the colours are going to be off. Each printer mixes colours different and therefore have different shades of ink. Also if you put too much ink in the cartridge the ink will floos resulting in colours printing improperly.
